A virtual conference where you can…
What technology will be used to power JiraCon?
Trundl is working directly with vFairs to host this event.
How many attendees are expected?
We’re expecting anywhere from 400 to 600 attendees. The great thing? As a spoonsor, your co-promotion helps us drive more interest in the event. We’ll provide you with some information to help you with promotion, but we also encourage you to create hype and drive your own audience to attend. The more we work together, the larger the event, the more we can collaborate and make the event a major success!
How can the virtual conference be accessed?
This year’s virtual event will be hosted through an online platform called vFairs. You’ll be accessing the platform through your internet browser. Detailed information will be provided to you upon acceptance.
Is there special software I need to download?
No additional software or applications are needed. You will access the vFairs platform via your web browser.
Can I speak without being a sponsor?
Yes. There are 3 types of speaking sessions available:
Presentations: These are seminar-type lectures where you’ll be encouraged to take notes and take in all there is to learn! At the end of the presentation, if time allows, there may be availability for a handful of questions to be answered.
Workshops: Workshops will be sessions that are specific to one of the 3 content tracks (Jira & Productivity, ESM & ITSM, Agile & DevOps). There will be a host (the master of the technique or tool) that is presented to a smaller group and it will be conducted as an open discussion around the specific topic and/or tool. You’ll be encouraged to participate in the open conversation by raising your “virtual hand” and a moderator will allow you to ask your question.
Demonstrations: In demonstrations, you’ll learn the basic “how-to’s” when it comes to the specific demonstration topic and/or tool. You’ll see the step-by-step process of how to implement practical solutions. However, it’s important to note that every proposed session is pending acceptance and availability of time slots. Sponsors will receive first preference.
Will I have live technical support during my speaking session?
Yes. There will be a webcast producer, virtual on-site technical support for you through the entirety of the event.
If our team has a booth, will it need to be occupied by a team member throughout the entire day on both event days?
We highly recommend that your booth has a team member available at all times during each day. This allows you to make the most of your experience, have interactions, network, and make sure that attendees can get to know you and capture information from your booth.
What type of equipment and access do I need to host a proper speaking session, presentation, or workshop?
In order to have the ideal presentation experience, we recommend a computer with high-speed internet, a working camera, and a microphone so that all attendees have the best interactive and personable experience.
What are the speaking presentation guidelines that me and my team should be aware of?
We expect that each session, whether you’re giving a presentation, workshop, or demonstration to be at least two-thirds thought leadership and knowledge that attendees couldn’t necessarily get elsewhere. In order to provide the best experience for the attendees, and build trust with the audience, the focus should be less on a product and more on things such as best practices, lesser-known native features of Jira software, use cases, and commonly asked questions and more. We’re not here to sell, we’re here to problem solve and provide attendees with an experience they can’t get anywhere else!
JiraCon is conducted over 2 days for 2 different regions (North America & Asia Pacific). Is my team expected to participate on both days?
Yes. Both regions are large markets with a high interest in Atlassian tools, add-ons, and solutions. It is up to you to decide which team members you dedicate to each day.
